Northwestel Hosted Microsoft Exchange Web Access

Web Access service is a full-featured e-mail program similar to Microsoft ® Outlook. Instead of software driven, Web Access is run through a users Internet browser and mirrors the look and feel of Microsoft Outlook.
It's ideal for mobile employees who need access to Microsoft ® Exchange when away from their office, for satellite offices, or for consultants to access information. It provides rich messaging and collaboration without the expense of owning your own network. Web Access is accessible from anywhere in the world via a standard internet connection and gives the end-user access to their company's e-mail, calendars, contacts, tasks, public folders and other business resources.
As a Web Access Service user, Northwestel supports https, IMAP4, and POP3 access.

Personal |

Mailbox Quota |
Each mailbox has a quota of 100MB of space per user. Additional mailboxes can be ordered on demand if required. |

Calendar |
The personal calendar feature allows users to maintain a calendar containing personal appointments on a daily or weekly basis, set reminders, and create recurring appointments. |

Vacation Alert/auto reply |
This option enables users to customize a reply that will be automatically sent back to the sender. Great for notifying customers or colleagues when you are away on vacation and will not be responding to emails in a timely manner. |

Forwarding |
Users can setup the forward option to send messages to a recipient of their choice or to those not originally on the recipient list. |
|
Sorting |
Sorting arranges the messages by category in a users Inbox, specified by the user. For example, allows users to sort message according to age in the Inbox, size, importance and more, etc. |

Message Importance setting |
Importance: Marks an email message to be of high or low importance. Sensitivity: Recommends how the recipient should regard the email message. Allows users to mark messages as Normal, Personal, Private or Confidential. |

Aliases |
Aliases allow users to choose additional e-mail addresses and have them link back to a primary e-mail account. Up to three aliases per user are available to business customers. Smaller companies can give the perception that they have multiple divisions - i.e. by creating sales@xyzcompany.ca , service@xyzcompany.ca and support@xyzcompany.ca - but in fact, all of these e-mail IDs are actually aliases and the mail is directed to one primary mailbox. |

Calendars (includes free busy) |
Monthly and daily views of calendar include; appointment list views, view details with free and busy, drag and drop to move appointment capability, track acceptance of meeting attendees, and all-day or multiple-day event scheduling. |

Meeting scheduling |
Group scheduling allows you to view the availability of meeting attendees and even meeting rooms on the Northwestel Microsoft Hosted Exchange service. Meetings can be booked, your calendar can be updated and meeting requests can be sent to all attendees. |

Global Distribution lists |
Company administrators can create distribution lists that can be shared by all users in the company. This ensures that every user in the company has access to the most up-to-date distribution list. Global distribution lists can also be mail enabled and be used as an internal distribution list. |

Personal/Global Contacts |
Personal/Global Contacts is an address book that allows users to maintain a list of contacts, including phone number, email address, mailing address and other information. The global contacts features permits users to view a distribution list of employee email addresses that is made available to all employees . |

Tasks |
A task is a personal or work-related errand or project you want to track through completion. Use tasks to organize and prioritize your responsibilities. You can specify a start and due date, a date and time for a reminder, and a priority for each task. A task can occur once or repeatedly (a recurring task). A recurring task can repeat at regular intervals or repeat based on the date you mark the task complete. |

Notes |
Notes are the electronic equivalent of paper sticky notes. Use notes to jot down questions, ideas, reminders, and anything you would write on notepaper. |

Journal Capabilities |
The journal folder lets you track messages, meetings and tasks. The journal folder can be used to automatically maintain a running list of messages you send and receive, meetings you attend, and tasks you work on. |

Shared Public Folders |
Public folder storage and sharing allows a company to store and share documents and data on the server for all users to access. For example, you can post and store your companies Sales Brochures on the server and all your sales staff can access this information using the Internet. |
