Mailbox Set Up
Once Northwestel has confirmed that your Voice Mail Multi Manager service is active, you can set it up by following these directions.
Please note that until you set up your mailbox, the preset passwords will consist of your phone number and any extensions. E.g. 669955391 would be the password for someone with a phone number of 669-9553 and who is trying to enter their first additional mailbox (extension 91).
1. Dial XXX-6245 and initialize your main mailbox by following the prompts to set your name and greeting
2. This greeting should include the option to leave a message for the primary contact, and directions on how to leave a message for one of the other mailbox users (simply assign each additional mailbox user an extension in assending order from 91 to 95). E.g. 'You have reached the Smith residence. To leave a message for John, do so after the tone. If you would like to leave a message for Sally, please press 91. If you would like to leave a message for Brian, please press 92...'
5. You can also just set up the main recording, and return to re-record this after you have initialized the extension mailboxes
6. When the prompts are played for changing personal options, choose option 4 at the main menu and then choose option 9
8. Initialize the extensions by entering the applicable extension number (91 - 95). This tells the system that the extensions are ready to set up
10. Log out of the host mailbox by pressing * *
11. Call the sub-divided host mailbox (same telephone number as above) but when the system plays the greeting, press the extension number you want to set up (91 - 95)
12. Wait a few seconds and then press *
13. NOTE: Steps 11 and 12 must be done quickly or you will not receive the expected results
14. The system will walk you through the mailbox initialization for setting the extension names and greetings
