Centrex Features
Autodial
Allows a user to dial a frequently called number by pressing a single key on the phone set.
Automatic Line
Allows a user to automatically connect to a predetermined location when the receiver is off the hook.
Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
Provides Meridian Business Set (MBS) users the ability to directly dial another station within the Centrex group by pressing an assigned feature key. Busy Lamp Field also displays a diamond-shaped symbol to indicate when the number for that station is in use.
Call Display (Internal)
Displays the number of an incoming internal call that is either transferred or forwarded to a user's station from another user within the Centrex group.
Call Forward Universal (Variable)
Allows a user to redirect calls to another local telephone number. This feature is activated or deactivated by the user as required.
Call Forward No Answer/Busy
Forwards all unanswered and/or busy line calls to a predetermined alternate telephone number.
Call Hold
Allows a user to hold an incoming call for any length of time, as long as neither party hangs up. Call Hold is activated either by pressing/flashing the Link key or switch hook on the phone set.
Call Park
Allows a user to park a call, thus allowing that user to originate or receive another call. The parked call can be retrieved from any station within the Centrex group.
Call Pickup
Allows a user to answer incoming calls to another station without leaving the original station. A ring pickup group is created allowing users to answer each other's calls.
Call Transfer
Allows a user to transfer a call to another station within or outside of the Centrex group. Call Transfer also provides the opportunity for a private conversation with the third party before all callers are on line or the transfer is complete.
Call Waiting
Alerts a user of an incoming call when the user is already on a call.
Conference 3/Conference 6
Allows a user to originate a conference call with up to three or six parties, without the assistance of an attendant. Conference call participants may be within or outside of the Centrex group, and both local and long distance numbers can be included in the conference.
Consultation Hold
Allows a user to hold a call and originate a second call to a third party.
Display Called Number
Displays the number dialed on an outgoing call.
Distinctive Ring
Allows a user to identify the type of incoming call by the distinctive ringing pattern.
Intercom
Allows a Meridian Business Set (MBS) user to connect directly to another predetermined MBS user by pressing an assigned feature key. The two users may then converse while keeping their primary lines open for incoming calls.
Group Intercom
Allows a Meridian Business Set (MBS) user who is a member of a predetermined intercom group to dial another group intercom member by pressing an assigned feature key. The users may converse while keeping their primary lines open for incoming calls.
Group Intercom with Paging
Allows a Meridian Business Set (MBS) user who is a member of a predetermined intercom group to page/ broadcast for another group member, by using the assigned feature keys and codes. The original user may then establish a conference with the paged member.
Last Number Redial
Allows a user to redial the last number dialed by pressing a single key.
Multiple Appearance Directory Number (MADN)
Allows a telephone number for an incoming call to appear on more than one Meridian Business Set (MBS), allowing the call to be answered from any of several predetermined stations. MADN also provides visual display on the MBS set to indicate when the MADN line is in use.
Query Time/Date
Displays the current time and date when a user presses the assigned feature key.
Ring Again
When a user dials a number within their Centrex group and receives a busy signal, activating Ring Again will initiate both sets to ring when the originally dialed number becomes available. The two users may then answer their ringing phones and commence their conversation.
Speed Call 10
Allows a user to store up to ten numbers on their line/set for speed dialing purposes, utilizing one or two-digit dialing under the assigned feature code or assigned feature key.
Speed Call 50
Allows a user to store up to fifty numbers on their line/set for speed dialing purposes, utilizing two-digit dialing under the assigned feature code or assigned feature key.
