  • Can I have TV theme packs in addition to the theme packs included in Top Picks or HD Select?
    Yes - many customers wish to have lots of TV programming available to them. You can add more theme packs to the ones included in Top Picks or HD Select TV packages and pay for them separately. Take a look at the enclosed Channel Guide to make the programming choices that are best for you.
  • Can I substitute other TV theme packs for those included in either Top Picks or HD Select? Unfortunately, there are no substitutions of theme packs included in Top Picks or HD Select TV packages, but you can still keep the theme packs you already have and pay for them separately.   • If I’m already a Digital TV and HSI Performance Internet customer, what do I get by adding either the Top Picks or HD Select TV Package?
    You get the greatest savings when you bundle either Top Picks or HD Select with your HSI Performance Internet service. You keep saving $20.00 per month for your Internet service, AND you also get 400 minutes per month of FREE Long Distance to Canada and the US. That’s an extra value of $22.95 per month!

  • What is this Long Distance plan called, and how does it work?
    The Long Distance plan included in this bundle is called Freedom 400 bundle. Essentially, you get 400 minutes of free direct-dialed long distance calls to and from Canada and the US, which can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That works out to almost 7 hours of free Long Distance per month! Any calls over and above the 400 minutes are billed at a low rate of 9 cents per minute. And you get great international rates too. Freedom 400 bundle usually costs $22.95 per month, but you can get it for FREE by getting either Top Picks or HD Select with your HSI Performance Internet service.
  • Can I carry over my long distance minutes from one month to the next?
    The 400 Long Distance minutes do not carry over to the next month.
  • I already have a different Long Distance Plan. Can I keep my current plan and still get this free long distance?
    No, only one Long Distance plan can be active on your account. But, for the vast majority of our customers, the free Long Distance plan included in this bundle, which is called Freedom 400 bundle, contains the most value.
  • Will I receive just one bill for my Long distance, TV and Internet?
    At this time, the details of your Long Distance calls will still appear on your Northwestel phone bill, and it is on the Northwestel phone bill that you will see a $0 charge for your Freedom 400 Bundle Long Distance Plan (regular price of $22.95). Your High Speed Internet and TV charges will continue to appear on your Northwestel Cable bill.
  • What if I need to disconnect my services, or want to change my TV package? Am I tied into some sort of contract by signing up for this bundle?
    No! There are no contracts required to take advantage of this great Long Distance deal. You are free to make changes to your services anytime. Just remember, you must still have HSI Performance Internet and either our Top Picks or HD Select TV package to keep your 400 minutes of free Long Distance.
  • What if the phone services and cable services I pay for are at different physical locations?
    Unfortunately, this bundle is only available if all services are being provided at the same premises.
  • What if my phone service account and my Digital TV and Internet service accounts are registered in different names? For example, the phone account is in my husband’s name, and the Digital TV bill is in my name?
    One of the individuals will need to call to be added to the other account as a secondary person authorized to make changes. In the example provided above, your husband could call 1-888-423-2333 and request to add your to the phone account, or you could call the same number and request that your husband be added to the Digital TV and Internet account.
