High Speed Broadband Now Available in Fort Providence

Northwestel has introduced high speed Internet service in Fort Providence. The service was officially launched by Northwestel officials at the Zhati Koe Friendship Centre on July 29.
“We are very pleased with the warm reception we received in Fort Providence,” said Barb Szabo, VP Customer Experience. “We have had numerous requests for faster Internet in Fort Providence and I am pleased we have been able respond to that customer demand.”
Northwestel’s high speed Internet service provides residents with a broadband Internet connection with speeds of up to 5 Mbps. The new service provides residents with an always-on, reliable broadband connection via digital subscriber line (DSL) technology.
Three packages are available in the community: DSL Lite, a great introductory product perfect for casual web surfing; DSL Classic, with a faster connection and perfect for downloading photos and music, and DSL Ultra, which is targeted at power users. Prices for DSL Internet start at $39.95/month.
If customers wish to subscribe to the new service, they may contact Northwestel at 1-888-423-2333, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm MT and BCC Hours are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm MT.. Customers that sign-up by July 31 receive $70 off professional installation.
