Almost 60 Communities Now Enjoy Broadband Internet

Northwestel has introduced High Speed Internet service in almost 60 northern communities in BC, NWT and Yukon.  Tsiigehtchic is the most recent community to enjoy broadband internet access, provided since last October.  
 
“We are very happy to offer our High Speed Internet service to so many remote areas,” said Curtis Shaw, Northwestel Vice President, Consumer and Small Business. “The Internet is becoming more important in the lives of northerners and it is our goal to provide the best possible service throughout our operating area.”
 
Customers wishing to subscribe to the new service, or with inquiries about service availability in their town, are invited to contact Northwestel at 1-888-423-2333, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. MT for residential customers, and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. MT for business customers.
 
Other areas added to the growing list of connected communities include Tulita, Dease Lake 9, Iskut and Eddontenajon.
