Didn’t get tickets? Weren’t in town last weekend? No problem, Community Cable 9 has footage of all the exciting events and great interviews with CBC personalities and NHL alumni.
As a sponsor of the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada event, Northwestel Community Cable 9 team was out and about town, capturing incredible footage over the entire four days of the events. This footage starts airing tonight, February 17 on Community Cable 9!
"Community Cable 9 had the unique opportunity to capture extensive footage of the festivities,” said Curtis Shaw, Northwestel Vice President of Consumer Markets. “Now we want to share this footage with the community as a record of that important event. We are your local community television channel and our coverage of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada shows how we are able to present unique programming to the Whitehorse community that is not available from any other source.”
Viewers can catch the first episode of footage on Prime Time with Cable 9 starting February 17 and airing again on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 9am, 7pm and 10pm. More episodes containing coverage of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada will be aired in the coming weeks. The Cable 9 footage includes coverage of the NHL Alumni luncheons and banquets, hockey games, kids events, autograph signings, Stanley Cup displays, Arts Centre performances, hockey clinics AND, a behind the scenes look at the CBC coverage that made possible the national broadcast of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada. The Community Cable 9 team captured as much as possible and has compiled the best parts to share with viewers.
