Northwestel wishes to inform its customers that long distance service in approximately 39 satellite communities has been interrupted owing to an issue with Telesat’s Anik F2 satellite. The satellite problem is also affecting DSL-based Internet in Iqaluit and other data services in satellite-served communities in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Some cable television channels are also impacted.
