BlackBerry Mobile FAQ
I already have a BlackBerry device and get service from my old email provider. How do I use my old device with the new Hosted Exchange service?
If you own a BlackBerry device and are already using it with another email provider, you must terminate that service before you can use it with the Hosted Exchange service.
Each BlackBerry device has a personal identification number (PIN) that is uniquely associated with a particular server in a particular environment. A BlackBerry device cannot simultaneously work with two different environments.
To terminate an old service, contact your old service provider and tell them to discontinue your BlackBerry service and release your PIN. According to BlackBerry, the releasing of a PIN can take up to seven days, and until this is complete you should not attempt to use your BlackBerry handheld device with the new Hosted Exchange service.
