Mailbox Quota

Each mailbox has a quota of 25MB of space per user. Additional mailboxes can be ordered on demand if required.

Aliases

Aliases allow users to choose additional email addresses and have them link back to a primary email account.  Up to three aliases per user are available to business customers. Smaller companies can give the perception that they have multiple divisions - i.e. by creating sales@xyzcompany.ca, service@xyzcompany.ca and support@xyzcompany.ca - but in fact, all of these email IDs are actually aliases and the mail is directed to one primary mailbox.

Groupware

Global Distribution lists

Company administrators can create distribution lists that can be shared by all users in the company. This ensures that every user in the company has access to the most up-to-date distribution list. Global distribution lists can also be mail enabled and be used as an internal distribution list.

Personal/Global Contacts

Personal/Global Contacts is an address book that allows users to maintain a list of contacts, including phone number, email address, mailing address and other information. The global contacts features permits users to view  a distribution list of employee email addresses that is made available to all employees .

Security

Anti-Virus

All incoming and outgoing mail messages as well as all attachments and files posted in the public folder are scanned for viruses and quarantined if a virus is detected.

Anti-Spam

Anti-Spam filters eliminate known spam before it hits the end-user inbox.

Fully Qualified

Fully Qualified Log in (FQLID) allows for secure login and authentication to the Northwestel Microsoft Hosted Exchange environment
