Northwestel TV Plus is a modern TV service that works over your home internet connection - no coax cable required. You can watch on your TV through a set-top box, or on your phone, tablet, laptop, and more.

Dawson City Cable TV - Digital Basics
Of the 68 channels listed in the DCCTV Digital Basic channel lineup, Northwestel carries 61 of the same channels along with access to many new ones!
A small number of locally-produced Dawson City channels and radio feeds that are unique to the DCCTV system will not be available as exclusive channels on TV Plus, but we are working with the city to move some of the content to our Northwestel Community TV channel. We recognize how important local content is to the Dawson City community and will do what we can to keep it available.
Depending on which TV Plus base package you select, you can receive up to 98% of the same channels without adding any theme packs or pick-and-pay channels. In addition, you will receive over 150 new channels to tune in to!

- DCCTV Digital Basic to TV Plus Essentials: you will see 56/61 channels in the base package, plus 154 new channels. The rate for TV Plus Essentials is $64.00/ month.
- DCCTV Digital Basic to TV Plus Favourites: you will see 57/61 channels in the base package, plus 168 new channels. The rate for TV Plus Favourites is $86.00/ month.
- DCCTV Digital Basic to TV Plus Ultra: you will see 60/61 channels in the base package, plus 205 new channels. The rate for TV Plus Ultra is $117.00/ month.

Dawson City Cable TV - Analog
Of the 46 channels listed in the DCCTV Analog channel lineup, Northwestel carries 38 of the same channels along with many new ones!

To get Northwestel TV Plus, you must:
- Be within the Northwestel Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) Internet footprint and subscribe to a FTTH internet package of 20mbps or greater.
- If you would like more than one set top box in your home, need a higher internet package to be able to support your existing devices and multiple set top boxes streaming at the same time. We want to ensure you have the best experience possible while using TV Plus!

- Have a TV with an HDMI input

- If you are a current Northwestel Fibre-to-the-Home internet customer, you are eligible for self-installation. If you would still like a hand though, we will schedule a free installation to assist.

- No! Northwestel can differentiate the data used for TV Plus. No matter how you watch TV Plus at home (either through the set-top box, mobile device, Apple TV, or more), while you are connected to your home internet, there will not be any usage charges.
TV Plus will consume some of the bandwidth (speed) from your home internet plan, so if you have lots of devices connected you may see service buffering with and should consider a higher speed package.
You can access third-party apps (such as Disney+, Amazon Prime, CBC Gem and Netflix) through the TV Plus set top box, and those will count toward your internet usage.
If you watch TV Plus using mobile data, it will count toward your mobile usage plan.
- No. Although all channels can be viewed from any device while connected to your home internet, some channel providers do not allow out-of-home viewing.
- Out-of-home viewing will be accessible anywhere within Canada.

- Channels takes a long time to load when I enter a channel number on my remote
- As the channels go into the thousands, the platform is waiting for the 4th digit before navigating to the channel. If you’re trying to tune into channel ‘504’ on the remote, try typing ‘0504’ for a quicker response!

- Press and hold the ‘OK’ button on your remote to access the last few channels you watched and your favourite channels list!

- How do I remove channels I do not subscribe to from my channel guide?

- How do I watch shows that have aired in the past 24 hours, or restart programs?
- Simply scroll backward in time in your TV guide, select the program you want to watch, and press the ‘Restart’ button!
This feature is available for most programs. If the program does not have a ‘Restart’ button (or the image of a circular arrow in the corner of the guide), then it is not available due to programmer restrictions.
