E-MAN (Ethernet Metropolitan Area Network) provides private Ethernet connectivity between multiple locations within the same community. Delivered over Northwestel fibre or copper facilities, it gives your organization a consistent way to connect local networks, support centralized applications and manage traffic between sites.
With support for VLANs and multiple speed tiers, E-MAN can help your organization manage network traffic and adapt connectivity as requirements change. It can also integrate with Northwestel WAN services to extend your network beyond the local community.
What E-MAN delivers
Northwestel supplies, installs, operates and maintains the terminating equipment at your premises and in the serving Northwestel facility. That means less equipment for your team to manage and one provider to contact when the equipment or link needs attention.
Connect locations within the same community using end-to-end Ethernet standards over available Northwestel fibre or copper facilities. E-MAN works with your existing LAN equipment, helping your team maintain a familiar network environment.
Use VLANs to separate traffic between applications and services across your local network. Additional ports, VLANs and trunks are available to support changing network requirements.
Adjust your network as your organization changes, with available speed tiers, additional ports and VLAN options. Multi-site deployments can also benefit from volume pricing, with 1-, 3- and 5-year service terms available.
E-MAN can integrate with Northwestel WAN services, helping connect local sites to a broader regional or national network through a combination of services suited to your requirements.
E-MAN offers 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 1,000 Mbps speed tiers, subject to suitable facilities. A 10 Gbps option is also available in Whitehorse and Yellowknife under specific service conditions.
