Northwestel Business Web Hosting service ending January 25, 2027
Northwestel will discontinue its Business Web Hosting service on January 25, 2027. After that date, your website will stop working, and its content will no longer be available.
We recommend moving to a new provider by January 11, 2027, so you have time to test before the shutdown.
Your next steps depend on how your website was built.
If your website was built with an Online Presence Builder:
- Your website cannot be moved directly to another provider because Online Presence Builder uses tools that work only on Northwestel’s platform. You will need to rebuild your site with a new provider.
- Before January 25, save anything you want to reuse:
- Copy your text
- Download all images and logos
- Take screenshots of each page to guide your new design and ensure nothing is missed
If your website uses WordPress:
- Your website can be moved to another provider.
- Before January 25, 2027, download a complete backup of your website, including all website files and the database. Your new provider can then import the backup.
