Access speeds will vary depending on the distance between the customer’s modem and switching equipment from Northwestel. Actual speeds experienced on the Internet may vary with customer's configuration, Internet traffic, server, satellite transport, environmental conditions or other factors. 

Northwestel may manage network resources using filtering for spam and malicious or illicit content, anti-virus mechanisms or other measures to protect the integrity of the network (such as the blocking of customer traffic or other traffic in the event of denial of service attacks) or Internet traffic management practices consistent with the Commission’s determinations in Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2009-657 and subsequent determinations. The Company will post a description of our current Internet traffic management practices at www.nwtel.ca/ITMP.
