Common Questions
Migration starts on Sept. 4, 2025 and will take place in phases till Sept. 30. Not all customers will be upgraded at the same time.
Your modem firmware will update automatically, and your Plume HomePass app will stop working. You’ll receive a welcome email on the day your upgrade is complete with setup instructions.
Your internet will continue to work. During the early morning upgrade, your modem may briefly restart, causing a brief outage (up to 20 minutes).
No. Your current internet package price remains the same.
Pods will no longer work after your migration. Please swap them at a Northwestel retail store. You will receive Mesh Extenders as replacements.
Pricing is the same as Pods: two extenders for $5/month, each additional extender $5/month.
You don’t need to do anything extra. Your Smart Wi-Fi app will manage your network directly. If you need extra coverage in larger or hard-to-reach spaces, Mesh Extenders are available at the pricing above.
