It takes a community to raise a champion

For Cullen, it took a lot of encouragement and even more hard work to get where he is today. At the age of 9, his father encouraged him to take up speed-skating.

Cullen excelled quickly, from the community rink, to the national stage, and eventually to the Arctic Winter Games where he competed three times.

Like his father did for him, Cullen supports youth who are chasing their dreams.

“My dad was my inspiration… who I looked up to growing up. I’ve always felt like it would be nice for me to give back in some sort of way, to a community that helped me so much with my growth and my childhood.”

Passing on the legacy of community, teamwork and dedication, Cullen is a champion. In every sense of the word.
