Learn how to update your Wi-Fi network name and password with the Smart Wi-Fi app.

Steps:

  1. Open the Smart Wi-Fi app.
  2. Tap My Wi-Fi.
  3. If you have multiple networks, select the one you want to update.
  4. Tap the pencil icon to edit.
  5. Enter your new Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password.
  6. Tap Save to apply the changes.

Tips/Notes:

Once updated, all previously connected devices will disconnect and must reconnect using the new password.Shape

Steps:

  1. Open the Smart Wi-Fi app.
  2. From the home screen, tap My Devices.
  3. Review the list of current and previously connected devices.

Steps:

  1. Open the Smart Wi-Fi app and navigate to My Devices.
  2. Tap the device you’d like to assign.
  3. Select Assign to User.
  4. Choose an existing user or create a new one.

  1. Under My Devices, review the list of current and previously connected devices.

Profiles allow you to group multiple devices under a single user for easier control and customization. For example, you can assign your child’s phone, tablet, and laptop to one profile—making it simple to manage screen time and content settings across all their devices.

Steps:

  1. In the Smart Wi-Fi app, go to Parental Controls.
  2. Tap ‘+’ icon to Add User.
  3. Enter a name for the profile (e.g., “John” or “Family Room”).
  4. Select one or more devices to associate with the profile.
  5. Apply parental controls or set schedules for the entire group

Profiles help you save time by allowing you to manage multiple devices with a single set of rules.

Set regular offline hours—like no Wi-Fi during school nights or bedtime—using the Scheduled Internet Freeze feature. It’s a simple way to encourage healthy screen habits and ensure quiet time when it matters most.

Steps (How to use it for a profile):

  1. Open the Smart Wi-Fi app and go to Parental control.
  2. Select the user or profile you want to manage.
  3. Tap the pencil icon to create Schedule.
  4. Choose the days and times when internet access should be unavailable.
  5. Tap Save to confirm your schedule.
  6. Return to the profile overview
  7. Use the toggle switch to enable the scheduled pause

Tips/Notes:

You can create unique schedules for each user or profile to match their routines and needs.

Steps:

  1. Open the Smart Wi-Fi app on your device.
  2. Navigate to My Devices or Parental Control.
  3. Find the device or profile you want to manage and tap the Pause button.
  4. Choose a pause duration: Unlimited (until you manually resume) or set a specific period.

Tips/Notes:

Once paused, the selected device or profile will immediately lose internet access. To restore access, simply tap Resume at any time.
